This book, which sheds light on the cycle tapestries known as "les douze mois grotesques" or "Mois grotesques par bandes" by Les Gobelins and the production of this historic tapestry manufacture in the early eighteenth century, was published in conjunction with the homonym exhibition held at the Gallery Moshe Tabibnia from 8 to 30 November, 2007. Introducing the reader to documentary evidence and unpublished photographs, the author of this book reconstructs the history, unveils the meaning and recounts the fortune of the cycle of tapestries designed by Claude III Audran in 1709.
